This page serves as public documentation of our SMS opt-in process, as required for Twilio A2P 10DLC and Toll-Free compliance.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
During the booking checkout flow on a business's widget powered by CTRL&BOOK, customers enter their contact details. To receive automated text updates, they must explicitly check the opt-in checkbox.
This checkbox is unchecked by default. Opt-in is completely voluntary, and customers can successfully complete their bookings without opting in to text notifications.
This is an illustration using a placeholder business name, reproducing the phone input and unchecked SMS consent checkboxes presented to customers at the checkout step. On a live booking page the customer’s actual business is named in both disclosures, and each business has its own opt-in page at /booking/<business>/sms-opt-in.
Message Content: We only send transaction-based text messages. These include booking confirmations, schedule reminders, rescheduling or cancellation notices, and alert notifications when a business replies to customer messages.
Separated senders:The shared CTRL&BOOK toll-free sender only sends locked booking notifications. Promotional texts use a business-specific dedicated sender only after separate marketing consent and A2P Mixed registration are verified. Tenant-written campaign content can never use the shared sender.
Opt-Out: Customers can text STOP, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, or CANCEL at any time to opt out.
Opt-In Data Protection: All SMS opt-in consent and originator data are protected and strictly kept confidential. See our Privacy Policy for details.
